Central Queensland is again gearing up for the region’s largest mining industry event: QME 2016, the Queensland Mining and Engineering Exhibition.
New technology targeting efficiency
Held in the heart of Mackay at the Mackay Showground from 26th to 28th of July 2016, the event has become a mainstay of the Australian mining industry calendar and is attended by miners, mining contractors, mining machinery manufacturers and a wide range of mining services companies, engineering firms and heavy mining equipment suppliers.
This year, the bi-annual expo includes a seminar program, the Queensland Mining Contractor Awards and a Thought Leadership Panel featuring some of the world’s leading international experts, including Chairman of the World Coal Association, Mick Buffier.
Across all three days, the focus of activities will be on how new technologies and methods of production can create even greater efficiencies across the industry.
Local and international exhibitors
Over 200 exhibitors from throughout the Australian mining and international mining sector will be presenting their latest product developments, ranging from new processes being used in the manufacture of mining machinery through to cutting edge technology in mining services software.
QME 2016 will also feature its regular live demonstrations that look at products beyond just the regular equipment for mining. This year, Toyota will be showcasing the new Hilux SR range, Mastermyne Group are unveiling their newly formed Mastertec business and Flexco will launch their brand new belt tracker – specially designed for heavy use with mining machinery and using some innovative technology that creates big cost efficiencies.
